I’m much more chilled as Tommy is relentless, he never eats I don’t drink whiskey, he does I like to sleep, he doesn’t I don’t smoke and he does.ĭo you like to start with the look when creating a character? Tommy Shelby’s hair is iconic. I don’t think you need to find things in common between you and a character, in fact, it’s more interesting when it’s something completely different to you. They are stories that keep us in suspense and force us to wonder how they react in the next scene. I think the reason people find these types of movies appealing is because of the way they stick to the skin. I consider myself a very lucky actor because I am at a very important moment in my career. That’s something that ‘A Quiet Place’ and ‘Peaky Blinders’ have in common. That is what I always try to find, a quality and original script. Good writing in a series is the most important thing. What do you think is the secret of that success? I am humbled by the success of the series. I never expected to be so successful with the series, it’s fascinating to see how the audience really likes the characters. But I’m very happy with ‘Peaky Blinders’ because the public loves it.
